How Jevtana is Given

JEVTANA is given through an intravenous infusion by a trained professional

Find out what treatment with JEVTANA is like whether you are considering or starting your treatment plan. You may also find it helpful to talk to your healthcare provider about setting individualized treatment goals to keep you on track. Here is what to expect from your treatment with JEVTANA:

JEVTANA is an infusion medicine administered by a trained professional

JEVTANA infusions take about 1 hour

JEVTANA is usually given once every 3 weeks. The frequency of your infusions will be determined by your healthcare provider.

In the clinical study, men received a median of 6 treatment cycles of JEVTANA and 29% (109 out of 371) of men received 10 cycles of JEVTANA. The number of JEVTANA treatment cycles that you receive will be determined by your healthcare provider.

JEVTANA is prescribed in combination with an oral therapy called prednisone. Your healthcare provider will tell you how and when to take your prednisone.

It is important that you take prednisone exactly as prescribed by your healthcare provider. If you forget to take your prednisone, or do not take it on schedule, make sure to tell your healthcare provider or nurse. Before each infusion of JEVTANA, you may receive other medicines to prevent or treat side effects.

Certainly any time anyone has a new treatment there is a bit of apprehension. I was ready for JEVTANA thanks to Dr. Zhang and the pharmacists’ information which they had passed on to me, giving me a pretty good idea of what to expect.
